Rachel Louise Randall

Rachel Louise Randall, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on February 25, 2026. She was born on June 22, 1944, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Albert and Mary Jane (Prayso) Madama. One of five children, Rachel spent her early years in a number of lively towns, where her father worked in the gaming industry. The family eventually settled in Las Vegas where she attended school and began her adult life. Rachel married her first husband, Rod Ronnow and the couple had two sons together. She later met Jerry while he was working in Las Vegas, and the two married in 1973. Shortly after, they made their way to Oklahoma, where they settled and built a life together for the next 52 years. Rachel was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. Over the years, she also assisted in managing Jerry’s veterinary practice, often serving as the familiar and friendly voice who answered the phone and scheduled appointments. Proud of her Italian heritage, Rachel expressed her love through cooking. She was well known for her delicious pasta sauce, homemade bread, and pies. She was also gifted artistically, enjoying painting, sewing, and quilting. Her yard stood as a testament to her gardening talents, bursting with beautiful flowers each spring. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Albert and Michael Madama; and her dear friends, Jeri Marie Mortenson and Patricia VanBuskirk. Rachel is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jerry; her daughter, Julie Shaffer; her sons, Cody Ronnow and significant other Cindy Binns, and Rod Ronnow and wife Evie; her grandchildren, Emily Shaffer, Alex Shaffer and wife Allie, Geonna Ronnow, and Jay Beasley; one great-grandchild, Wyatt Bardin; and her sisters, Jenny Carter and husband Andrew, and Joey Madama and husband Richard, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family. A memorial service for Rachel will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Oklahoma.
